I grew up in Nashville, where I loved exploring the woods and creeks in the hills of middle Tennessee. That love of the natural world drew me to the WNC mountains after college.

I worked as a studio artist in Yancey County for several years, making jewelry and clocks out of my watercolor paintings, and later worked in the Mitchell County Schools as a teaching artist through Penland School of Craft. I hold a both a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from Appalachian State University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

I’m an expressive arts therapist with a passion for supporting healing through both talk therapy and creative expression. I am rooted in the belief that the arts offer a really helpful language for processing our life experiences and reconnecting with the self. They are some of my favorite tools for exploration and growth for clients of all ages, but if you're nervous about this, don't worry-we can work in other ways as well.
